Housing for poor, middle class priority: Modi NEW DELHI, Jan 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the Light House Projects (LHPs) being executed with modern technologies in six States will show a new direction to the housing construction sector in the country and further strengthen cooperative federalism. Modi laid the foundation stone of six LHPs under the Global Housing Technology Challenge-India (GHTC-India) that, he said, has given a scope to innovate and incubate with new technology. The programme seeks to build over 1,000 houses each in six cities in 12 months. “These six projects will show a new direction to the housing construction in the country,” he said.

LHPs will be constructed at Indore, Rajkot, Chennai, Ranchi, Agartala and Lucknow, comprising about 1,000 houses at each location along with allied infrastructure facilities. (ANI)
