In Washoe County, health officials are reporting two additional COVID-19 deaths on Friday, bringing the death toll to nearly 600. There are nearly 180 new cases. More than 40,000 vaccines have been administered in Washoe by various organizations, including the Washoe County Health District and Renown. The Alabama Department of Public Health said the site at alcovidvaccine.gov will allow those eligible to make an appointment if shots are available in their county of choice. The portal also provides information about additional drive-thru and walk-in clinics being offered.
