Kalyan Dombivli civic body to start COVID-19 vaccination from Jan 16

Thane: The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) gears up for the distribution of Covid-19 vaccine. The process of the same will strat from January 16. On Wednesday evening the vaccine doses arrived in the city, hence following the same the distribution of these vaccination will begin from January 16 in Kalyan-Dombivli. A Total of 6,000 vaccines have been alloted to the KDMC. In all, four centres have been selected for the distribution of the vaccines, said an official from KDMC.
Among the four quarantine centres, two are located in Kalyan that is Shaktidham Quarantine centre and Rukminibai hospital; while two in Dombivli, which are D N C High School and Shastri Nagar hospital in Dombivli.

Two women with travel history to United Kingdom test covid positive in Kalyan
Among 1,206 passengers who landed in Mumbai from Europe and Middle-East on Thursday, 55 are from the Kalyan-Dombilvli region
Thane: Two women from Kalyan-Dombivli among 55 passengers arrived in Kalyan from UK have tested positive for the Covid-19, informed health official from Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC).
So far, out 55 passengers arrived in Kalyan-Dombilvli stretch, 20 have been traced following the swab test, out of which 2 women have been tested positive. As per the official, both the women are residents from Dombivli, they have not experienced any symptoms and are in stable condition.

MUMBAI: As many as 1,206 passengers landed at the Mumbai international airport from Europe and the Middle-East on Thursday and 788 of them were quarantined in the city, a civic official said.
A total of 14 flights from these two regions landed during the day, said the official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Flights from the UK have already been suspended after a new variant of coronavirus was detected in that country.
