Editorial: Spring 2021 Report Card
Administration: C-
As we near a possible end to the COVID-19 pandemic and the spring 2021 semester, Binghamton University administration had a lot on their plate. However, in dealing with so many pressing issues, administrators often sought to place Pipe Dream in the middle of these problems rather than handling it themselves.
For starters, Pipe Dream staff were surprised to receive an email from BU President Harvey Stenger asking us to look into complaints regarding unsanitary living conditions for students in quarantine housing. While Pipe Dream has reported on such issues twice, the administration has not spoken out about these conditions, delegating all investigative and public relations work to our student news team rather than the administrators employed to do so.

RICHMOND, Va. (CN) Virginia Republicans have selected two of their candidates for the first post-Trump statewide election with businessman Glenn Youngkin securing the top of the party’s 2021 ticket Monday night.
“I am prepared to lead, excited to serve and profoundly humbled by the trust the people have placed in me,” Youngkin said on Twitter Monday night. “Virginians have made it clear that they are ready for a political outsider with proven business experience to bring real change in Richmond.”

Here is what College Republicans have spawned: John Lambert, co-founder of Students for Trump with Ryan Fournier, has been sentenced to 13 months in prison for impersonating a lawyer for the purpose of relieving people of their money.
More specifically, Lambert impersonated Eric Pope, a partner at the firm of Pope & Dunn. Pope specializes in corporate and patent law.
Lambert figured out that he could represent himself to potential clients as Eric Pope, take their money, and do absolutely nothing for it. He did all of this online, and when the feds got wind of it, he faced wire fraud charges for which he ultimately pled guilty.
