Front Office Sports reports “The impasse in contract negotiations between Super Bowl broadcaster Jim Nantz and CBS Sports is attracting the attention of a big possible bidder: ESPN. If Nantz hits free agency this summer, ESPN is interested in possibly making him the face of its NFL and Masters golf coverage, said sources. With ESPN parent Walt Disney Co. poised to land one if not two NFL TV packages, Nantz could be on the mic as ABC/ESPN broadcast future Super Bowls.”

Silas Kelly, a senior linebacker at Coastal Carolina University. The three football student-athletes overcame injury and illness to excel on the field this season. They were selected by a vote of Associated Press college football writers and will be officially recognized during Saturday s PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl.

Kentucky offensive lineman Kenneth Horsey is one of three winners announced Saturday of the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award, along with Colorado running back Jarek Broussard and Coastal Carolina linebacker Silas Kelly.
Horsey overcame a heart condition that required surgery and threatened his career to become a starter on Kentucky s offensive line. The winners were chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), a panel of Associated Press football writers and the Fiesta Bowl Organization.
“I could imagine this because football was one of the things that kept me motivated,” Horsey, a third-year sophomore, told AP.
JONESBORO, Ark. – Arkansas State head football coach Butch Jones announced Monday that A.J. Milwee has been named the Red Wolves’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Milwee comes to A-State after most recently spending the last two seasons on the same coaching staff with Jones at Alabama, where he has served as an analyst for the Crimson Tide in 2019 and 2020. Milwee has helped Alabama post an 11-0 record and a No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings this season, while the 2019 squad capped off the year with a 35-16 win over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl to finish ranked No. 8 in the final AP Top 25 poll.
