Syracuse defensive end Kingsley Jonathan was named a First Team Academic All-American on Monday, the only football player in the ACC to earn the honor. The award is handed out annually by the College Sports Information Directors of America, honoring players who exhibit a combination of both athletic and academic achievement. He is Syracuse’s first honoree since tight end Cam McPherson won the award in 2016, and one of just 16 in program history.
