JEE (Mains) 2021 to be held in 4 sessions starting from February 23-26 JEE (Mains) 2021 to be held in 4 sessions starting from February 23-26 ANI / Updated: Dec 16, 2020, 20:55 IST The Joint Entrance Exam (Main) will be conducted in four sessions in February, March, April and May starting from February 23 to 26, 2021, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced on Wednesday. The next sessions of the exam will take place between March 15-18, April 27-30 and May 24-38, Pokhriyal added. He further announced that for the first time ever, the examination for admission into engineering institutions in the country will be conducted in 13 languages - Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English and Gujarati.

The exams will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the months of February, March, April and May 2021. In the first phase, the JEE Main 2021 exams will be conducted between February 23 to February 26, 2021. The decision was taken in order to allow students across the country to choose the suitable schedule as per their convenience. The minister further said that the multiple exam dates will ensure that students can improve their JEE Main scores. It will also help the candidates for JEE Mains to avoid any date clash with their board exams 2021 as they can appear for another exam as per their convenience.

The candidates have to attempt 75 questions out of 90 – or 25 out of questions 30 in each section of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.JEE Mains will be held in 13 languages from next year. These include English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam, Pokhriyal said.
