Most of them did stay for the Moderna and were thankful and it wasn’t a negative experience at all it all turned out pretty well,” said Kathy Percacciolo, Putnam County Health Department’s supervising public health nurse.

Westchester County, state probing claims that pharmacy charged for COVID-19 vaccine

News 12 confirmed the state and Westchester County are investigating allegations that people were charged to get a COVID-19 vaccine at an area pharmacy.
The vaccine is supposed to be free.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer says they ve received a few reports of people paying and they were residents who are older and more vulnerable. It could be the totality, or it could be the tip of the iceberg, that s what we don t know, that s why we re investigating it, Latimer says.
He says people were allegedly asked to pay $20 for a vaccine at a pharmacy in the west side of the county. While he did not identify the pharmacy and location, he did say this supposedly happened at a chain pharmacy.
