An Elk City woman was arrested in Clinton recently after allegedly breaking into the Glancy Motel.
According to court records 30-year-old Carol Elaine Mitchell is accused of breaking into the motel on April 22. While being arrested she would provide Clinton police with a false names on, claiming she was Carol Standingwater. The suspect was also found to be in possession of a forged check belonging to the motel’s owner – made out to another company in the amount of $25,000. Mitchell is also accused of cashing a forged check worth $200 at a local bank, and passing a forged check at a Clinton store for $55.

A man accused of vandalizing the Great Plains Family YMCA Child Development Center in Weatherford plead guilty to the crime and was sentenced recently in Custer County District Court.
According to court records, 32-year-old Christopher Steven Jones was arrested April 4, 2020, for breaking into the Child Development Center and vandalizing several items.
He did this while wearing some odd clothing.
Court documents said that according to video surveillance Jones was allegedly wearing a bonnet, dress, pink tennis shoes and a diaper while committing the crime. He was also holding what appeared to be diapers in his hand.
