J&K Government launches Super-75 scholarship scheme to support education of meritorious girls belonging to poor families
JAMMU / SRINAGAR: International Women’s Day celebrations held at Government College for Women, MA Road, Srinagar witnessed some major reforms being made by the Government for empowering the girl students and women of J&K, with Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha making major announcements that will facilitate the education and entrepreneurship of female folks of the UT.

26 brave and bright girls of Khunti conquer English US Consulate awards certificates for success in two-year scholarship programme
As many as 26 girls, most of them survivors of child marriage and human trafficking, were conferred with certificates by the US Consulate General in Khunti on Saturday for successfully completing a two-year foundation course in speaking and learing English.
The English Access Microscholarship programme, funded by the Regional English Language Office of the U.S. Embassy New Delhi and the U.S. Consulate General Calcutta, is a two-year programme which provides a foundation of English language skills to bright, economically disadvantaged 13-20-year-old girls through after school instruction and intensive sessions.

Six days after returning to their hostels, 12 students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Sangareddy district have tested positive for Covid-19. All 12 students study in different classes and hail from different villages.
Hyderabad: In a setback to the government’s move of reopening schools in Telangana, 12 students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Sangareddy district have tested positive for coronavirus.
The students who have tested positive are all from class 9, 10 and intermediate batch and had returned to their hostels six days ago. A Rapid Antigen Test was conducted on 150 students (132 students and 18 staff) out of which a dozen students tested positive.
