DEERWOOD, Minn. A Minnesota county sheriff has restricted a city police department from some county buildings, after it was learned during a defamation lawsuit that the police chief had secretly recorded two other officers.
Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard restricted access from all sheriff office-controlled buildings for Deerwood Police Department personnel.

A 62-year-old Pequot Lakes woman faces charges after breaking into a residence and assaulting a couple she knew.
Taffie Lynn Goerges was charged May 17 in Crow Wing County District Court with two felony counts of first-degree burglary where she entered a residence without consent and assaulted the occupants and three misdemeanors of domestic assault, fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
