The Biden administration s envoy for Yemen says he does not know the nature of the US military s involvement in a conflict he s trying to solve.
Quizzed on the subject by Congress members at a hearing on Wednesday, Tim Lenderking said he was unaware of how President Joe Biden s pledge to end US support for Saudi offensive operations in Yemen had been enacted. I m not totally in that information loop, congressman, so I can t really speak to that, Lenderking said in response to a question by Democratic Representative Ted Lieu. I do think that we need to make sure that Saudi Arabia is able to defend itself. but my focus is driving toward a ceasefire, so we can get out of this whole question of offensive and defensive weapons.

DISTRICT 7 Congressman Tom Malinowski, who represents District 7, said he disagrees President Biden s decision to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by Sept. 11, 2021. President Biden inherited a difficult dilemma in Afghanistan, and I appreciate the profound burden our president bears when deciding whether and how to deploy our men and women in uniform. Nevertheless, just as I opposed President Trump s attempts to withdraw all our troops from Afghanistan, I disagree with President Biden s decision to do so by September, said Malinowski.
We write today on behalf of our constituents from the Indonesian Christian community here in New Jersey. We urge the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to take immediate action to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from detaining and deporting this group of New Jersey residents who arrived here decades ago as refugees fleeing religious persecution in their home country.
After the downfall of the Suharto regime in Indonesia in the late 1990s, many Indonesian Christians settled in Central New Jersey, and have become integral members of our communities. For nearly 30 years, these Christian refugees have raised families, bought homes, attended church services, and volunteered countless hours to aid neighbors. These New Jerseyans exemplify the best qualities of our state. Their ability to continue living and working safely in New Jersey is critical to the well-being of their U.S. citizen children and to the benefit of their church communities and neighbor

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ - A long, drawn-out battle against eminent domain and the PennEast Pipeline’s plans to disrupt earth in Hunterdon County enters its latest phase in April, but, ahead of the U.S. Supreme Court hearing, the Hunterdon County governing body took actions to urge President Joe Biden’s Administration to have an about-face and look more closely at the land use and eminent domain issue facing New Jersey and the county.
In considering a “bigger picture” mission, on March 16, the county commissioners approved a resolution calling on Biden’s Administration to reverse its stated support for the PennEast Pipeline’s use of eminent domain for New Jersey state property if the project goes forward.
