Mark Farris: Desperate GOP can only offer seeds of doubt

Mark Farris The apprentice’s sorcerer has conjured up a swirling storm for the ultra-right to deal with and they aren’t sure which direction to turn. With only about 18 months until the off-year elections, the ultra-conservatives are bailing, but the water keeps getting deeper. The ultra-right has considered splitting the Republican Party with the formation of the “America First Caucus.” That’s on the back burner for now as they attempt to weave together an acceptable fantasy to promote. It just looks to me like their intent is to stall and mesmerize until they can concoct a palatable fable.

It s sad so many are unaware of the truth

It s sad so many are unaware of the truth The Daily Telegram Responding to the letter submitted by Jim Budde of Tipton titled, “Walberg has steady moral compass and is a true Michigander,” he needs to be fact-checked. The title of true Michigander can be debated when Congressman Walberg sides with Texas in an attempt, in a lawsuit, to throw out our legitimate Michigan voters with the Big Lie of widely dis-proven conspiratorial voter fraud. It appears the congressman wants his own electors, and never mind what his 7th district constituents want. It s just galling what he and his fellow conspirators tried to do to our democracy. It was downright un-American and prompted my letter,  Where does the greed stop?   It s sad so many have no idea of what the truth really is. Just because the congressman is seen out in public eating some local ice cream with a friendly smile on his face doesn t mean he s working for you and me.

Where does the greed stop?

Walberg Opposes Pelosi s $1 9 Trillion Spending Bill

Walberg Opposes Pelosi’s $1.9 Trillion Spending Bill The Monroe News Washington, D.C. Congressman Tim Walberg, R-Tipton, released the following statement after voting against H.R. 1319, Speaker Pelosi’s $1.9 trillion spending bill designed to advance a one-sided political agenda at the expense of hardworking Michigan families. “Let’s be clear: This isn’t a COVID relief bill. In fact, only nine percent focuses on public health measures like enhanced testing and vaccine distribution. In reality, this bloated $1.9 trillion bill is riddled with political handouts that have little or nothing to do with combating the virus. It is simply indefensible that this legislation devotes billions of dollars to extraneous provisions foreign assistance programs, a subway in Speaker Pelosi’s district, a bridge in Senator Schumer’s state, and much more. Up to this point, Congress has already allocated more than $4 trillion in COVID relief, and $1 trillion of that has yet to be spent.
