U.S. Congressman Rodney Davis, IL Senator Jason Barickman and State Rep. Dan Brady spoke out against unfair maps June 2, 2021
U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis passed and proposed a measure to create a 10-member bi-partisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 incident. It passed the U.S. House but not the Senate. Davis said he fears the next step.
“I like the bill I voted for, and I like the bill I wrote,” said Congressman Rodney Davis, at a press conference. “This is the only way to get Nancy to answer: Why in the world was the national security posture was at such a terrible point pre- Jan. 6. I’m afraid the next step is going to be a partisan-select committee.”

Wade was 8-years-old when he died of brain cancer on Christmas Eve 2015. Davis told The Big Z in a previous interview he got to meet Jonny not long before he died.

U.S. Representative Rodney L. Davis (IL - 13) issued the following announcement on May 13.
U.S. Representatives Rodney Davis (IL-13) and Darin LaHood (IL-18) re-introduced H.R. 3131, the David Dorn Back the Blue Act, in the House to raise police officer salaries and hire more police officers. Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) and others are also co-sponsors of the legislation.
“I’m proud to support the men and women of law enforcement in Congress,” said Rep. Davis. “They have a tough job, and we should be doing everything we can to support them. We can start by increasing funding for law enforcement and making sure they have the resources they need to do their jobs and keep our communities safe. We should also reject calls from some Democrats who want to ‘defund the police.’ It’s one of the most dangerous ideas I’ve ever heard. I wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for the brave actions of two Capitol Police officers who ran towards gunfire. I’m proud to reintrodu
