In total, there have been 3,874 dengue-like-illness cases (of which 1,978 were laboratory confirmed) reported by the Republic of the Marshall Islands between May 2019 and 06 January 2021. Covid-19 cases in the CNMI rise to 125

The Northern Marianas has recorded its 125th case of the coronavirus even as health officials report that the Covid-19 vaccinations have so far reached 3,020. The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) said the recent case was identified by travel screening and confirmed through testing upon arrival. It said the person was moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring. It also added that it has already initiated contact tracing for the most immediate contacts of the new confirmed case, including passengers on the same flight. Out of the 125 total Covid-19 cases, 99 were identified by travel screening while 26 were local transmissions. There are currently three persons in isolation.

CNMI gets Moderna vaccine; records 4 new cases

The Northern Marianas received its first batch of the Moderna vaccine on Saturday, a day after the U.S. territory saw its Covid-19 total rise to 122 with four new infections on Christmas Day. The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation or CHCC said the four individuals were identified by travel screening and confirmed diagnosis through testing upon arrival and fifth day testing. They are safely in quarantine and were moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring. The CHCC also said it has already initiated contact tracing for the most immediate contacts of the new confirmed cases, including passengers on the same flight.
