Rarely seen without her signature sunglasses or the impeccably tailored wide-leg jumpsuits she favoured, Carla Zampatti was a figure who loomed so large in the imaginations, and closets, of so many that she appeared to be close to invincible.
Indeed, Zampatti has been such a part of the countryâs social fabric â and indeed, its literal fabric â for so long, that her death, on Saturday, was a devastating shock for many. Zampatti was 78.
A State Funeral will be held for legendary Australian fashion designer, Carla Zampatti, who passed away yesterday, aged 78. The family of Ms Zampatti accepted the offer of a funeral from the New South Wales Government.
