Mar 8, 2021 Every year on Int’l Women’s Day I take a few minutes to blog about a woman who has inspired me. My daughter, my aunt, my daughter in law, my mom, always someone I’ve had a very close, personal relationship with. Today I’ve picked the author Anne Lamott. I just talked with her last week about her latest book, Dusk Night Dawn: On Revival and Courage. I started reading Anne’s books in 1993. That was the year Operating Instructions, came out. It is one of my favorites along with Bird by Bird and Travelling Mercies. There have been several years between the first books of hers I read and the most recent but each time I finish one I feel like I’ve just been with an old friend. We actually share a birthday, Anne and I, even though she has a couple of years on me, we also both like Good and Plenty and we identify ourselves as women of faith.
