SAFETY concerns have been raised about the location of a dog poo bin in Innerleithen. Scottish Borders Council staff have voiced their concerns regarding access to empty the bin, which is located at the bottom of Caerlee steps. Community councillor Jackie Couchman told members of Innerleithen Community Council that employees had to park on a dangerous bend in order to empty the bin in its current location. “It will not be popular, but from a health and safety point of view, it’s an absolute nightmare for them, she said.
