TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) Two grants will help the Tippecanoe County Health Department maintain operations at its COVID-19 vaccine clinic, as well as move into the next phase of the local vaccination effort.
The health department recently received more than $400,000 in grant money from the Indiana State Department of Health.
Some of the money will used to maintain operations at the county s vaccine clinic, but even more will be spent to send a mobile unit to neighborhoods and festivals like the county fair.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) The Tippecanoe County Health Department s vaccine clinic is bracing for another wave of demand after the State of Indiana on Tuesday once again lowered the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility threshold.
Health officials are urging patience because a limited supply of the vaccine is prolonging the scheduling process.
TCHD is struggling to keep pace as the rollout gains speed because its weekly allotment of doses hasn t increased.
