Several Areas Affected by the Closure
UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced the closure this week, reporting that the Greater London area has reached the new tier of restrictions.
Braintree, Harlow, Broxbourne, Chelmsford, and Watford are also areas affected by the closures.
People living in the areas within the third tier of restrictions must stay indoors, unable to mix with others outside of their household. Restaurants and pubs in these areas can stay open, but they can only offer
takeout and delivery service.
Sporting Events Affected
The casino closure comes just a few weeks after venues were allowed to reopen. Back in November, England started a month-long closure. On December 2, casinos reopened, and fans of sporting events were allowed to attend events.
