Halton Hospital welcomes new nurses from India and Ghana | Runcorn and Widnes World

HALTON Hospital has rolled out the virtual red carpet to a new cohort of international nurses who have arrived in the borough. Nine nurses from India and Ghana will soon start their clinical induction with Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as part of an overseas recruitment initiative. The nurses arrived a few weeks ago and were welcomed virtually by chief executive Professor Simon Constable, chief nurse and deputy chief executive Kimberley Salmon-Jamieson and mayor of Warrington Cllr Maureen Creghan after spending a period in isolation to comply with Covid-19 restrictions. They have also undergone training in Crewe before they begin their clinical induction programme at the trust on March 8.
