Graham asked Ann about the Agatha Christie influences in the latest novel, and if it was intentional. ‘I think I wanted to play with that form,’ she explains. ‘You know, it s lovely. It s very reassuring, isn t it? We all needed reassuring, I think at the moment. So the idea of the snow and the forest and people stuck in a big country house and then, of course, a murder. But then I bring Vera into the mix, and we find out a little bit more about her family and her background too, says Ann.
