Farmers in large numbers have started coming towards Delhi after the harvesting season to strengthen the protest against the Centre s new farm laws, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha said on Wednesday.
The only way for the Centre to resolve the deadlock with the protesting farmers is by repealing the contentious farm laws and coming out with a legislation to guarantee the minimum support price (MSP), it said.

The representatives said the government should, instead, take a cue from the Supreme Court’s suggestion to suspend the laws before beginning talks.
New Delhi: Farmer groups will hold discussions on Tuesday morning to decide their course of action after the Centre’s latest letter asking them to decide on date of talks. Some of the farmers’ representatives told ET that the new letter had “nothing new” and the government had only expressed willingness to “resolve farmer concerns” about the new laws.

New Delhi: The farmers movement on the borders of Delhi continued for the 18th day on Saturday even as it has been hijacked by a couple of non-BJP political leaders and social activists to grind their axes. They are not farmers but they are trying to control it as they are associated with the farmers organisations.
Topping the list is former CPI(M) MP Hannan Mollah, who even sidelined Punjab s farmer leaders after their talks with Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday. He is now part of the farmer leaders camping at the Delhi-Haryana border, guiding them in the strategies.
