The building s construction, which started almost a year ago in March, has been able to resist any delays possibly caused by Covid-19 to stay on schedule. YMCA Humber were quick to praise the main contractor, R G Carter, as well as all of the sub-contractors and local tradespeople involved in the project. Once open, the building will offer 74 aspirational homes , set in eight distinct community clusters, for the area’s young people.

Home Secretary Priti Patel said “a minority of people are putting the health of the nation at risk . Police will move quicker to issue lockdown fines, but no new regulations or punishments have been announced by the government to tackle COVID-19 breaches. Home Secretary Priti Patel led a press briefing on Tuesday evening where she said police officers would enforce regulations and that she “will back them to do so to protect our NHS and save lives”. However, she said “a minority of people are putting the health of the nation at risk by not following the rules”. She did not tighten any of the rules around COVID-19 lockdown during the briefing.
