Pet of the Week: Butter

Butter is a 6-month-old female rabbit who is friendly and loves people. Posted: Apr 13, 2021 12:20 PM Updated: Apr 13, 2021 12:35 PM Posted By: Jolene Daib EUGENE, Ore. – Butter is a 6-month-old female rabbit who is friendly and loves people. She enjoys being petted and is curious about the world around her. She likes to toss her toys around her enclosure and loves getting gentle snuggles. Butter would do best in a family with children over 8-years-old, and she must go to a household where she will be kept indoors. Rabbits kept inside live from six to 10 years. Butter has brown eyes and rust-colored fur with brown points on her ears and nose. She is a mixed-breed rabbit, and at four pounds she still has some growing to do. She is litter box trained and spayed.

Beings of Oregon: Meet Poolie D, Eugene s very own Deadpool

Beings of Oregon: Meet Poolie D, Eugene s very own Deadpool If it makes you feel any better, the last year has been hard even for superheroes. Take Deadpool, aka Wade Winston Wilson, aka Ryan Reynolds, aka The Merc with the Mouth, aka Corydon S. Cailteux, who prefers to be called Poolie D when he is in character, for example. I have only been out of the house like 10 times in the last year, Poolie D said. In response to safety concerns and optics when he does venture out, he has added a black face mask to his elaborate Deadpool costume to complete the double mask pandemic look.

Pet of the Week: Bella

This young Saint Bernard mix is 9 months old and weighs about 100 pounds. Bella is looking for a family that can handle her size and energy level, and will see that she gets plenty of exercise as well as some basic obedience training. She can join a family with older children, but she may be too clumsy for little ones and could accidentally knock them down. She may do well with another dog, but is likely to be too much for cats. Bella is a sweet dog who will need a fenced-in backyard where she can run and play. Bella’s fee is $300, which helps pay for shelter expenses such as vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.
