A moisture laden trough will linger across northern and eastern Queensland through the week to come, resulting in large rainfall accumulations.

Most models display the highest forecast weekly rainfall totals in the Herbert and Lower Burdekin and North Tropical Coast and Tablelands districts.
These two districts could collect in excess of 150mm by the end of the week, most likely over coastal and adjacent inland areas between Ayr and Cooktown.

People in North East Lincolnshire have given a mixed reaction, with many confused over a new four-weekly bin collection service coming next month.
North East Lincolnshire Council announced on Monday bin days are changing for every household as they increase the items which can now be placed in the new recycling bins.
The council had kept collection dates the same during the deliveries of the new bins but this was only a temporary measure until the roll out was complete.

Rain has unexpectedly saturated part of New South Wales central west, surprising and delighting farmers and business owners recovering from the worst drought in living memory.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 97.6 millimetres at its station at Condobolin s airport in the 24 hours to 9:00am, or around a quarter of the town s annual average of 416mm.
It is the highest total recorded at the site since BOM started recording rainfall there in 1994.
