A mother in Texas helped police charge her teenage son with murder by recording calls and handing over a cache of incriminating texts and Facebook messages.
The trail led Austin police to arrest Christopher Michael Garcia, 17, for allegedly fatally stabbing Misael Sanchez, 19, during a fight east of the city last month.
Police said they received a call just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, reporting two males fighting with Sanchez at Cameron Road and McKie Drive.
The witness told officers Sanchez had been stabbed by one of the men before both fled northbound in a blue sedan, according to a press release issued by the Austin Police Department (ADP).
