The first protest was held on Wednesday, May 12, and the second was on Sunday, May 16, 2021, in conjunction with the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Nakba Day “Palestinian Catastrophe.” Nakba comprised the destruction of Palestinian homeland and society, the expulsion and displacement of Palestinians, and the establishment of the State of Israel on Palestinian lands it occupied in 1948.
