Betty Hahn of East Canton celebrates 100th

Betty Hahn of East Canton celebrates 100th The Repository Betty Hahn celebrated her 100th birthday on Jan. 21. Currently living in East Canton, she was born in 1921 in Canton to Warren and Dora McGaughey.  She graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1939. She was an excellent student and played in the high school orchestra. She then attended the St Louis School of Music to study piano in for 2 years. Even before this, she began teaching piano lessons when she was 15. Betty taught piano lessons professionally for over 75 years.  She was a long time member of the Ohio Music Teachers Association and served a term as President. She officially retired from teaching when she was 95.  She still plays the piano in her home.
