Four years after Chase Anderson was found brutally murdered in Curwensville, authorities are now seeking the life sentence for a prime suspect in this case.
In August of 2017, authorities say Denny Bailey, Kenja Tew and Chantell Demi took Anderson to a wooded area in Curwensville, stabbed him to death and burned his body.
According to court documents Demi and Joseph Ralston burned the truck that was used during the homicide.
Now nearly three years after charges were filed with the death penalty on the table, Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers is seeking the life sentence for Bailey.
Clearfield Robbery and Aggravated Assault Charges 6:40 pm
According to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers, two men are facing robbery and aggravated assault charges following a shooting in Clearfield Borough over the weekend.
Sayers says that on Saturday, around 9 p.m., police were dispatched to a home along South Second Street for a reported shooting.
Investigators say 26-year-old Richard Demko, of Northern Cambria, and 48-year-old Anthony Guy, of West Decatur, allegedly approached a 49-year-old man at his home and demanded money.
Authorities say during the altercation, the 49-year-old man was shot in the lower leg.
Sayers say the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and both Demko and Guy were arrested and transported to Clearfield County Prison.

According to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers, Daniel Robert Peteuil is facing charges in relation to a 2019 traffic stop.
“This all started initially at a traffic stop in DuBois and following an attorney general’s investigation and grand jury was indicted on multiple trafficking charges for meth, marijuana and other drugs,” said Sayers.
In June of last year, Sayers said there was a second case filed via a grand jury where informants testified that Peteuil was a known drug dealer in Clearfield.
Sayers said Peteuil is currently facing a grand jury indictment for multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver among other charges.
