Author: Michael Gibson (KIII) Updated: 9:34 PM CST February 1, 2021 KINGSVILLE, Texas Employees with the Kingsville ISD have to be breathing a big sigh of relief after they heard they will soon be getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Kingsville ISD Superintendent Dr. Cissy Perez-Reynolds is excited over the plans to vaccinate all of her employees on February 9. Those 350 to 400 employees won’t have to leave the school to go to a drive-thru clinic. 

Kleberg County COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan set

and last updated 2021-01-11 14:32:41-05 KINGSVILLE, Texas — Kleberg County Judge Rudy Madrid said his county will announce the establishment of a registry to provide to county residents beginning next week. The distribution plan will be for people 65 and older. Madrid is aiming to help those who can t get the vaccine at area hospitals and pharmacies. He’s not sure how many, but said vaccines are on their way to Kleberg County next week. The plans will be discussed at a press conference later this afternoon in Kingsville. He hasn t received a solid answer - yet. While some people are starting to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, others are wondering when it will be their turn to get vaccinated. A Vietnam veteran, 68-year-old John Hicks from Kingsville, has been looking for answers, but has fallen short. Hicks said he’s been out of his construction job since August. He said he just wants answers on when he’s going to receive the vaccine so he and others can get back to work.
