A man charged with the murder of a much-loved scooter fanatic, who was hit by a BMW, has been remanded in custody, police have said.
Shaan Mir, 26, of Arlington Lodge in Weybridge, is charged in connection with the death of Matthew Tester, 49, and the attempted murder of another man, also in his 40s, following an incident in Surrey last Thursday.

Mark Nye, 34, from Stanwell, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs, plus driving whilst disqualified and without insurance after he was arrested on February 11. He was reportedly detained by officers after being stopped on February 11 when he tried to discard class A drugs and two mobile phones he was carrying at the time. A police statement described how Nye gave officers false details upon being stopped, telling officers his name was ‘Connor’.
