Emergency crews in Clackamas County were treating six people who may have suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning in Gladstone on Tuesday morning as the region continues to endure widespread power outages.
Few details were immediately available, but the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said the poisoning may have occurred after a generator was left running in an enclosed area attached to a home on East Fairfield Street.
The condition of all of the people affected was not immediately available.
More than 140,000 people were still without power Tuesday morning, some of them for the fourth straight day, after multiple rounds of snow and ice brought down trees and power lines across northwest Oregon.

A news brief that ran in The Oregonian noted that the remains “had been exposed to the elements for quite some time.” Police sent the skull and mandible to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., for an anthropological exam, which concluded (based on skull measurements and the fact that it was found in Oregon) that the person who died was likely African American. The Smithsonian provided a line art drawing of what he may have looked like.

Clackamas County s road maintenance crews have been preparing for days in anticipation of a winter storm that could bring some snow and ice accumulation not only to communities on Mt. Hood, but those closer to the valley floor as well.
Clackamas County s Transportation Maintenance Division strategic plan for a winter storm is months in the making. According to to Kimberly Dinwiddie, county public information officer, the county s plan takes historical data into consideration when triaging what stretches of road might cause the most headaches for travelers when snow and ice begin to build up.

Wilsonville teen guilty in crash that killed Milwaukie man
Clackamas County Circuit Court places Reymon Reyes in the custody of the Oregon Youth Authority .
Wilsonville resident Reymon Reyes was sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in Oregon Youth Authority custody by Clackamas County Circuit Court following a crash that resulted in a death and three injuries in 2019.
The Oregonian first reported on this decision, which was made Friday, Feb. 5. According to the news organization s report, Reyes graduated from Wilsonville High after the wreck and had taken responsibility for the crime. Reyes will serve his sentence at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn.
