Judge Gregory Gonzales set bail for Jonathan Edward Monscone, 24, at $75,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned July 23. The Vancouver Police Department responded around 1:20 p.m. May 31 to the bank, 3003 N.E. 62nd Ave., for reports of a robbery. A teller told police a man gave her a note that read “start with the hundreds no dye packs hurry.” After the teller gave him money, the man ran from the bank, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Vancouver woman sentenced to 10 months for stealing from family Published: July 13, 2021, 5:23pm Share: (iStock.com) A Vancouver woman was sentenced Monday to 10 months for cashing checks in her mother’s name, with whom she was living as her caretaker in 2017 and 2018. Dana Lynn Cole, 54, pleaded guilty to identity theft and forgery in Clark County Superior Court. She originally faced six counts of forgery, one count of theft from a vulnerable adult and one count of identity theft. She was also later accused of bail jumping after failing to appear for a hearing, court records show. Cole moved in with her mother, Anna Cook, then 79, and stepfather, Roy Cook, then 84, in April 2017 at their Vancouver residence, according to an affidavit of probable cause. She made a nonfinancial agreement to be the primary caregiver for her mother, the affidavit said.

Viet Tan Nguyen, 35, pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery in the case against him involving the Chase Bank. He also pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and first-degree attempted theft in the ilani casino case from May 11. Judge Nancy Retsinas sentenced him to 33 months in each of the cases, and he will serve the sentences concurrently.
