PLANS for a new community hub in Milton was met with joy from residents. A new hub – still at its very early stages – is tipped to be built on the site of the former St Ambrose Primary School in Stornoway Street, which now lies vacant. It is hoped that the hub, which would see a number of services based in the one building, such as a youth service, voluntary opportunities and family support services as well as a base for the Glasgow Caledonian University’s Common Good scheme, will improve residents’ access to vital amenities currently lacking in the area.
