Four police vans and five police cars were called to a property in Bain Street. The man, 37, was arrested in connection. The road was cordoned off to traffic at its junction with Gallowgate. A BURST main, that meant 29,000 homes in Glasgow s East End were left without water, has been fixed. Scottish Water engineers successfully isolated a damaged section of trunk main last night and water supplies have now resumed. But, Gallowgate will remain closed in both directions between Bellgrove Street and Melbourne Street for a full repair. Meanwhile, Abercromby Street, London Road and Bellgrove Street are open. Abercromby St, London Rd and Bellgrove St are now fully open. Scottish Water has isolated the burst & residential water supplies are coming back on. But Gallowgate remains closed in both directions between Bellgrove St and Melbourne St as a full repair could take a few days.
