(April 8, 2021) - By and large there was very little notable change in the vote choice of religious groups between 2016 and 2020 – in fact, for most faiths, support for Trump ticked up slightly. Instead, it was among those who do not identify with any religion that Trump saw a noticeable drop.
Ryan Burge of Eastern Illinois University is an analyst of religious data. He says despite exit poll data initially pointing toward a drop in white evangelical support for Trump in 2020, the latest data shows this not to be the case. The data is based on the Cooperative Election Study, which has become the gold standard for assessing vote choice because of its sample size and its ability to accurately represent the voting population of the United States.

In what continues to be a perplexing, unsolved scenario in The Bay, the San Francisco 49ers announced on Wednesday the signing of another quarterback in professional journeyman Nate Sudfeld on a one-year contract.
The #49ers have signed QB Nate Sudfeld to a one-year deal.
The former sixth-round pick out of the 2016 NFL Draft last suited up for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he appeared in four games over the last four years completing 25-of-37 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown.
Already on the 49ers’ roster at the QB position are incumbent starter Jimmy Garoppolo, former Arizona Cardinals/Miami Dolphins first-rounder Josh Rosen and seven-year pro Josh Johnson in what is an absolute log-jam of a quarterback room.
