EWMGL gets highest taxpayer award

East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL), a concern of the country’s largest industrial conglomerate Bashundhara Group, has once again topped the list of taxpaying companies in print and electronic media category.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) sources confirmed the news on Tuesday.
EWMGL owns English newspaper the daily sun, Bengali dailies Bangladesh Pratidin and Kaler Kantho, television channels NEWS24 and T-Sports, Radio Capital 94.8 FM and online news portal Banglanews24.com.
The NBR will gave the tax cards to 76 individuals, 53 organisations and 12 other entities under different categories for their outstanding contribution to the national exchequer in the last fiscal year.

Radio Capital, a radio station of EWMGL representing frequency modulation (FM) of 94.8, has stepped into the fifth year.
The management of the radio station started celebrating the fourth founding anniversary through various programmes maintaining health regulations on Saturday (January 2).
Being one of the media entities of the East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL) of Bashundhara Group, radio began its commercial operations on January 2, 2017.

Radio Capital, a radio station of EWMGL representing frequency modulation (FM) of 94.8, has stepped into the fifth year.
The management of the radio station started celebrating the fourth founding anniversary through various programmes maintaining health regulations on Saturday (January 2).
Being one of the media entities of the East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL) of Bashundhara Group, radio began its commercial operations on January 2, 2017.
As part of celebrating the fourth anniversary, a cake was cut at the radio station complex at EWMGL premises at Bashundhara Residential Area in Baridhara of the capital in the morning.

Group A champions Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra will face Group C runners-up Chattogram Abahani Ltd in the first quarterfinals of the ongoing Walton Federation Cup 2020 at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) in the capital on Friday. The match will commence at 4:00pm.
Country’s first sports channel T-Sports, a sister concern of Bashundhara Group’s East West Media Group Limited, will telecast the match.
