Three more deaths have been recorded as East Lancashire Hospitals record highest hospital daily deaths. In the country, eight hospital trusts recorded Covid-19 deaths today, with a total of 12 deaths recorded in NHS hospitals. The hospital trust, which operates Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital saw two deaths on Monday (May 31) and one on May 28. On May 29, the hospital recorded one Covid-19 death and two others on May 28 meaning six Covid-19 deaths have been recorded by the trust the past seven days – one more than the week before. The other seven hospitals each recorded two or one death in today’s figures.
