The Niantic Bay Boardwalk and its extended McCook and Cini Parks were bright spots for our community during the COVID pandemic. Kudos to East Lyme Parks & Recreation for keeping the beaches clean, the walkway clear, the trash collected, and the railing free of debris so visitors have been able to enjoy the panoramic view of the shoreline all year. Along with volunteers like Ocean Recovery Alliance and other helpful citizens, Parks & Rec has made the Boardwalk one of the crown jewels of southeastern Connecticut and in the process made a difference in our community.
