EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. East Stroudsburg University and the Delaware Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma hosted the university s Inaugural Tammany Day Celebration on Friday over Zoom.
ESU announced a formal partnership with the Delaware Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma in September 2018.
This partnership enables collaboration between the tribe and the university s students, faculty, and staff to work with archeologists, historians, and government agencies. Through a pandemic, we stand together as partners. Building community ties, normalizing social justice, and promoting equality, said Susan Bachor of East Stroudsburg University.

U.S. Equestrian announced its roster for the the 2021 Endurance World Championship, and a Monroe County native will be one of just five representatives for Team USA in the International Federation for Equestrian Sports competition.
Holly Corcoran, originally from Stroudsburg, will be riding her 2007 Arabian gelding named Poete in the championship event, which takes place at the San Rossore estate in Pisa, Italy, on May 22. The 160-kilometer, six-phase race will begin at 7 a.m. local time on May 22.
Corcoran also owns a second horse that will competing at the Endurance World Championship, a 2011 Arabian mare named Poetrie that Hanna Weightman will be riding.
East Stroudsburg University adds minor in event planning management

The College of Business and Management at East Stroudsburg University will offer a new minor in event planning management this fall.
The minor consists of 18 credits within the hospitality program and will prepare students for the meetings, expositions, events and conventions (MEEC) and hospitality industries.
“As society begins to regain confidence after the COVID pandemic, we will see more businesses reopening and resuming in-person meetings. There is a need for individuals in the workforce to have these skill sets. According to the Events Industry Council (EIC), meetings and events account for $2.5 trillion of business sales and creates 26 million jobs, producing more than $1.5 trillion GDP and the 13th largest economy globally.” said Professor Li-Ming Chiang, chair of ESU’s department of hospitality, recreation and tourism management. “We see this new minor as an opportunity for those s
