By now you have heard about the effort by the Federation of Civic Associations of Lower Merion and Narberth to help resolve the problems associated with building athletics fields for the proposed LMSD third middle school on the former Clairemont Farm in Villanova. It is very important to understand that Lower Merion School District is experiencing - and anticipating - ongoing enrollment growth due to densification. In retrospect, we need to acknowledge that Superintendent Robert Copeland, Melissa Gilbert, former Lower Merion School Board President and current Vice President, and LMSD Staff have been monitoring the urbanization of the eastern end of the township for years.
