(CNSNews.com) - President Joe Biden made it very clear last week: He wants Congress to send him both parts of his infrastructure plan in tandem. Part one (physical infrastructure) is bipartisan. Part two (social programs) can pass only with 51 all-Democrat votes.
Biden said last Thursday if only part one, the American Jobs Plan, comes to his desk, I m not.signing it. It s in tandem, he insisted.
But over the weekend, amid outrage from Republicans, Biden tried to walk back his insistence on getting both bills on his desk at the same time.
