AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite Ever since the riot inside the Capitol that followed President Trump’s address to supporters on January 6, the Democrats have put on a full-court press to link that riot to the objections that several Republican Representatives and Senators raised to the Electoral College votes cast in five states where the voting process was so chaotic it is virtually impossible to declare a winner with any mathematical certainty. The strategy is pretty simple. The Democrats are seeking to link the Constitutional prerogative of every Senator and Representative to declare their disagreement with a vote by a particular state in the Electoral College with the riot. Never mind that Democrats challenged the 2016 and other votes. Because the elected official who dissented from the narrative were more likely to be conservative, this is simply a backdoor attempt to marginalize opposition voices in the House and Senate.

Fischbach faces challenges as a loyal Trump ally

Copy shortlink: WASHINGTON – Michelle Fischbach s first major vote in Congress sought to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The newly elected Republican representing western Minnesota s Seventh Congressional District voted not to certify the Electoral College votes of two states. She did so just hours after a mob incited by President Donald Trump s false claims of a stolen election stormed into the Capitol, attacking police and attempting to break into the Senate and the House, where Fischbach voted. This election was shrouded in allegations of irregularities and fraud too voluminous to ignore, said Fischbach in a statement issued before the attack on the Capitol, calling for a proper investigation of unproven fraud claims that have been dismissed by dozens of federal courts. She declined to be interviewed for this story.

Biden’s Brain Is Vacant Real Estate and Up for Sale Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. I’ve had my feelings cryogenically frozen for the time being. We’ve finally arrived at Regime Change Week and the 400-year-long election will soon be at an end. We hope. The only thing that is certain going forward is that there is no middle ground when it comes to the way Americans view the future. One side seems to think the Republic is headed for a happier, calmer time. People like me think this once-great country is about to begin its death rattle. There’s a chasm here that isn’t going to be closed up any time soon.
