The adviser s email to Dr Young noted Queensland Health had been provided draft documents [redacted] in appeal for an exemption for private quarantine .
The proposal would facilitate entry of key individuals travelling internationally for the entertainment, film and sporting industries particularly to the Gold Coast film and entertainment industry , the email said. There is potential to support the re-establishment of a significant industry in Queensland, the email concluded, citing the successful transfer of Melbourne AFL teams to Queensland.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced a return of the state s hard border closure with physical road barricades, after concerns from police that travellers from the newly declared Greater Sydney hotspot were slipping through.
The checkpoints, which allowed police to check the border passes of all those crossing by road, were dismantled only weeks ago and will now be reinstated by 6am on Tuesday to ensure full compliance with the regime.
Ms Palaszczuk described the move, announced at a Monday afternoon press conference in Brisbane, as a hard decision but one which would keep people safe and prevent any further outbreaks in the state.

As of Friday anyone flying into Queensland from the COVID cluster area must be tested and self-isolate for two weeks, while from Saturday passengers will be directed into mandatory self-funded hotel quarantine as of 1am. Overnight there were 28 COVID cases linked to the Northern Beaches cluster in Sydney, including a person who has since flown to Queensland.
