On Action Day, young children, the elderly, and those with respiratory programs like asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis, are more vulnerable to air pollution, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Anyone in one of the groups is encouraged to limit outdoor activities. The action day is Dec. 20. Orange has been issued because of recent weather patterns.
