For the Front Range, we’ve already seen heavy snow in northern Colorado. It will take some time to happen for the Denver area, possibly not until after midnight or just before. Snow totals could be anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of wet, heavy snow.
Chilly, wet weather will be moving out!

DENVER â The cold and wet weather will hang around early tonight with more rain and snow mixed for areas east of the Continental Divide. Temperatures will stay quite chilly as readings fall to around freezing by Wednesday morning.
The precipitation will end, but some areas of fog will develop over the eastern plains by early Wednesday. Western Colorado and the mountains will have clearing skies by daybreak.
The recent moisture has been a huge benefit for Denver, the Front Range and the eastern plains. At Denver International Airport, the total precipitation since Jan. 1 is at just over 8 inches â about the same amount as in all of 2020! We are now about 4 inches above normal when it comes to precipitation for this time of year.
Denver Weather: Chilly And Wet For One More Day In Colorado
CBS Denver 5/11/2021 Syndicated Local – CBS Denver
DENVER (CBS4) – After rain and snow across much of Colorado Monday night into early Tuesday morning, another surge of moisture is on the way for Tuesday afternoon. It will be all rain at lower elevations while the high country gets another blast of spring snow.
The foothills and mountains west of Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins remain under a Winter Storm Warning through 6 p.m. Although it is no longer winter, the title is still used whenever winter conditions are expected. Most areas above 7,500 feet as far west as Vail Pass will get 4-8 inches of additional snow. The higher amounts will be generally above 10,000 feet or above most mountain towns.
