The global rise of China, the closer connections forged by the Quad – India, US, Japan and Australia, and Washington, DC’s perceived move away from Middle-Eastern conflicts has made the “Indo-Pacific” one of the most mentioned geopolitical buzzwords of the last few years. The Indo, as opposed to Asia-Pacific, is a reference to the Indian Ocean and the term is meant to signify the importance of the maritime arena in global competition.

New Delhi [India], April 16 (ANI): United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson will visit India from April 25 on his first major visit to a non-European country since the re-election of the Conservative government in UK general elections held in December 2019.
According to informed sources, India and UK are set to agree on a roadmap 2030 for future relations.
The 2030 vision is for revitalized and dynamic connect between people, re-energised trade, investment and technological collaboration, enhanced defence and security cooperation and closer engagement on regional issues including the Indian Ocean Region and the Indo-Pacific.

New Delhi [India], April 14 (ANI): French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves LeDrian on Wednesday said that the collation between India and France has a very important role to play in the Indo-Pacific region to adapt infrastructures to the consequences of climate change.
Speaking at a panel discussion on raising climate ambitions in view of COP26, the minister said, From our point of view, this coalition has a very important role to play in the Indo-Pacific region to adapt infrastructures to the consequences of climate change. Here too, France will make a concrete contribution by seconding an expert to this organisation in Delhi.
