YRF requests Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray to help production house vaccinate 30,000 cine workers
In the letter, dated May 1, Akshaye Widhani, Senior Vice President, YRF, said the production banner, through The Yash Chopra Foundation, has offered their support to daily wage workers.

MUMBAI: In a bid to ensure cine workers safety amid the rising cases of COVID-19, Yash Raj Films, one of the leading production house in the country, has taken the onus on itself to vaccinate 30,000 members of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
In a letter to the FWICE, Yash Raj Films (YRF) said they have sent a request to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to allocate and allow them to purchase COVID-19 vaccines for these registered workers, who are members of the federation here.

Mumbai, May 4 : Filmmaker Aditya Chopra has come forward to vaccinate daily workers of the Hindi film industry, and has requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to allow his production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) to purchase 60,000 Covid-19 vaccines.
YRF has sent a letter to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) stating: With the film industry going through an unprecedented time, there is an urgent need to restart at the earliest so that thousands of workers can start earning their livelihood again and protect their families. Yash Raj Films, through The Yash Chopra Foundation, would like to offer its support in this regard.
Has assured that the cost of the vaccines and all related expenses will be borne by it.

NEW DELHI: As the Covid2019 crisis worsens, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has offered to sponsor vaccines for all members of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) through its charitable arm, the Yash Raj Foundation. According to a letter the YRF wrote to the president of FWICE, the foundation has already petitioned Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray to help it procure vaccines to inoculate the 30,000-odd members of the cine workers’ body.
The foundation, named after legendary director Yash Chopra, has assured that the cost of the vaccines and all related expenses will be borne by it.

In a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Maharashtra government announced that films, TV serials and advertisement shoots will be halted in the state. In a bid to Break The Chain , Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced a set of rules and guidelines that to be implemented throughout the state until 7 AM on May 1.
Following the announcement on April 14, all film shoots, including those of big-budget films like Alia Bhatt s Gangubai Kathiawadi , Salman Khan s Tiger 3 , Shah Rukh Khan s Pathan , Amitabh Bachchan s Goodbye , were all brought to a grinding halt. Considering the travel restrictions, logistics and other factors amidst the pandemic, several filmmakers opted to construct massive sets at studios in the city.
