Immigration is infrastructure. Climate change is infrastructure. Much of the liberal agenda is infrastructure.
While the final price tag is below some of the proposals floated by the most liberal Democrats in Congress, this is the approach President Joe Biden’s party is landing on the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill they hope to pass on their own without any Republican votes.
Democrats are going big and going it alone, hoping to get the new package across the finish line, courtesy of Vice President Kamala Harris’s tiebreaking vote in the Senate.
Democrats have pushed through big changes by small margins before. President Bill Clinton’s 1993 tax increase passed by one vote in the House and got through the Senate by Vice President Al Gore breaking a tie.

Some Republicans won’t give up the dream of Amnesty, but their efforts continue to fail. Last week, immigration boosters John Cornyn and Thom Tillis proposed an Amnesty bill that would permanently legalize illegal aliens who “actively participate” in the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This would give fewer than 700,000 illegals a pathway to citizenship. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) will lose support among West Virginians come re-election time if he votes for a Democrat budget, via filibuster-proof reconciliation, that includes amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, a poll provided to Breitbart News reveals.
On Wednesday, Manchin reportedly voiced support for giving amnesty to illegal aliens through a Democrat budget that would only be approved via reconciliation a maneuver that allows Senate Democrats to pass a variety of agenda items with just 51 votes and no threat of a filibuster.
A poll provided to Breitbart News from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), conducted by Zogby Analytics, finds that should Manchin vote for the amnesty-filled budget, he will lose significant support from West Virginians.
